What are the different types of Cat Climbing Frames?

Cat Climbing Frames come in various types, mainly classified according to their structural form and material characteristics, designed to meet different spatial needs and cat behavioral habits.

Structural Form Classification

Fixed Multi-level

This is the most common type, typically including a base, multiple platforms, towers, and a top platform. The structure is stable, suitable for most homes, and provides ample vertical space.

Free-standing Tower

Also known as a "cat villa" or "tower," it usually consists of hollow towers wrapped in rope, with a platform or cat bed on top. The design is simple, takes up little space, but provides vertical activity space.

Wall-mounted

This type is attached to a wall, utilizing the wall's vertical space. Suitable for small apartments or families who want to save floor space; ensure the wall's load-bearing capacity is ensured during installation.

Modular/Foldable

Features a detachable or foldable design for easy transport and storage. Modular designs allow for flexible combination of layers and shapes to suit frequent moves, making them suitable for homes or businesses.

Material Characteristics Classification

Solid Wood

Made of high-density fiberboard or solid wood planks, these are sturdy and durable, typically equipped with high-density foam padding and a non-slip base. While more expensive, they are more environmentally friendly and have a longer lifespan.

Eco-friendly Cardboard

Made of paper, these are lightweight and easy to assemble, usually with a waterproof coating to prevent moisture damage. Inexpensive, but less durable and prone to warping when damp.

Sisal Rope

Tower posts are often wrapped in natural sisal rope, which cats can use to scratch. This natural, non-toxic material effectively prevents furniture from being scratched.

Fabric/Fleece

Covering the platform and cat bed with fleece or fabric provides a soft and comfortable resting experience. However, it needs to be waterproof and stain-resistant, and cleaning is relatively inconvenient.
