What if my cat doesn't want to use the Cat Climbing Frame?

If your cat isn't interested in the Cat Climbing Frame, it's usually due to a lack of location, attraction, or a lack of security. You can try the following methods to guide and improve its use:

1.Adjust the location and environment

Move to a quiet corner: Place the Cat Climbing Frame in an area where your cat frequently plays, or near a sunny window. Cats like to sunbathe and look down at their surroundings from a high place.

Ensure stability: Check that the base is stable and prevents wobbling. If the structure is unstable, the cat will be afraid and won't dare to climb on it.

2.Use enticing items

Place toys: Hang toys with bells on the platform, or place catnip balls. Dynamic toys will stimulate the cat's hunting instincts and attract them to jump onto the frame.

Incentive Treats: Place small amounts of cat food or crumbs on each level to encourage the cat to explore. Gradually reduce treat use as the cat successfully explores.

3.Progressive Guidance and Positive Rewards:

Demonstrate Behavior: Gently stroke the cat's back to help it jump onto a lower platform, and immediately reward it with a pet or treat. Positive reinforcement helps the cat associate the climbing frame with a pleasant experience.

Patience: Different cats adapt to new environments at different rates. Older or introverted cats require more time and encouragement; never force or punish them.

4.Improving Comfort:

Add Soft Mats: Place soft mats or blankets on the platforms and cat bed to enhance comfort. Cats prefer soft, warm environments.

Anti-Slip Treatment: Ensure the surface is non-slip to prevent the cat from slipping and getting injured while jumping. Using non-slip mats or tape effectively increases friction.
